Our Story
We went to high school together all those years ago. We suffered through countless Spanish and English classes together and laughed endlessly during an early morning off hour. At the time we were both seeing other people, and the idea never crossed our minds that we would same day date and eventually marry.
Following high school graduation Erica disappeared to the Southern California sun for college and Steve stayed in Fort Collins. We did not manage to stay in contact during this time, but following college graduation Erica learned Steve was single. Of course she managed to keep Steve's phone number during this time and called him up. There was no intention in dating, just friends going out. At some point this changed, though neither of us know when...
The proposal was completely unexpected. After we had been at the Respite Care Dinner, a local charity benefit, we were walking the dog and under a street light Steve dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him. Of course both the dog and I said yes.
